“Join us to offer refugees food, shelter, and...living water. #GivingTuesday
In September 2015, the Middle East refugee crisis escalated in Europe. Thousands of refugees from many nations, predominantly from the Middle East, flooded the borders of several European nations, including Hungary. Our OMS Hungary team, along with several other ministries, stepped up to be the hands and feet of Jesus by providing for the physical needs of the refugees. Our team reported that in just one day, more than 4,000 people had passed through the train station where they ministered. The team set up a station to bathe babies with warm water and clean towels. They also distributed clean drinking water and warm blankets and helped serve food to 450 people.
The issue is complex, but the need for compassion is simple. Following Jesus means demonstrating His love and care for those in need. OMS has created a fund to receive compassionate gifts to help purchase tents, blankets, water, hygiene items, and food for these refugees. Consider making a donation of $100 (or any amount) today, on #GivingTuesday. We believe the situation will grow in the weeks and months to come and we must be prepared.
Our Hungary team will now move into Croatia to minister. This an unprecedented opportunity to share the Good News with people whom we might never have had the opportunity to reach before.
Pray, with us, for sensitivity and open doors.
