Kiana Bongers is our Third Culture Kids (TCK) Member Care Coordinator — and honestly, we think she's exactly the right person for this role.
Missionary kids face a childhood uprooted from grandparents, extended family, and everything familiar, and placed into cultures and environments that can feel confusing, isolating, or even frightening.
As our TCK member care coordinator, Kiana offers our missionary kids regular check-ins and emotional support, including giving them child appropriate pre-field training, visiting them on the mission field and debriefing when they return. She will also manage our child safety training and policies.
This role is vital to keeping our missionary families healthy and confident, because when their kids are doing well, they can focus on the work they're called to do.
Kiana’s studies in psychology and theology fit well with her own lived experience as a child growing up in missions so we are excited about the support she is able to provide to our missionary kids and their families.
Like our missionaries on the field, Kiana’s role is fully supported through the generosity of people like you, through once off or regular donations. She has a target to raise $3000 per month. Would you consider being a part of Kiana’s support team?
