New missionaries often take 1-2 years to complete fundraising, packing, applying for visas, and saying goodbyes. Amid a few exciting moments it can feel like an endless waiting game.
OMS believes this is the prime time for gathering the tools and skills that will allow you to begin your missionary journey with confidence and humility.
Our program purposefully uses the first 1-2 years before heading to the field to equip you according to the task ahead of you.

Joining our growing team means partnering with churches and believers that actively make disciples...people who grow dynamic faith that leads to more disciples, churches, leaders, and missionaries!
OMS serves in 70+ nations, but OMS Australia has a special focus on building teams in the seven countries you'll see below.
These fields have been prayerfully and intentionally chosen because of the need for missionaries to join local believers and their provision of supportive regional leadership for missionaries.

This team utilises prayer walking, agriculture, and more to make disciples of Jesus and affect change.
SOUTHEAST ASIA
Missionaries and local believers work together to multiply leaders who will plant churches in the farthest reaches of this nation.
JAPAN
A mature church network, growing youth sports ministry, and discipleship are hallmarks of this team.
CAMBODIA
This growing team works to see Jesus Christ change lives through spiritual, economic, and educational trasnformation.

meet OMS
We've been working together since 1901 to share the gospel and equip the sons and daughters of all nations to reach their own people for Christ.
Today we're known as One Mission Society, or OMS. We are an evangelical, interdenominational faith mission that partners with more than 300 organisations and church denominations around the world.

Our ministries partner with nearly 14,000 indigenous co-workers and are able to plant nearly 6,000 worshiping groups each year.
